Singapore Maritime Training Fund (SMTF)
The SMTF is a collaboration between the SMOU and the shipping industry, presenting an excellent opportunity for SMOU and the industry to develop joint training programs to promote the sea career, upgrade the skill sets of seafaring officers thereby improving their competitiveness. The SMTF plays a pivotal role in equipping seafarers of today to face the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
Seafarers Medical Scheme (SMS)
The SMOU Seafarers Medical Scheme (SMS), an exclusive collaboration with SMOU Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) partners, is a specifically designed healthcare scheme that subsidizes the cost of the medical requirements of SMOU seafaring officers and one of their dependents. The SMOU SMS provides basic medical protection, offering peace of mind to seafaring members as they sail the seas.
