新加坡高级海员联合会拨款120万元 为本地海员提供培训

新加坡高级海员联合会将在接下来两年拨款120万元,鼓励本地海事公司提供更多培训岗位,从而协助本地年轻专才进行相关方面的实践培训。

教育部长(高等教育及技能)王乙康今早受邀参加新加坡高级海员联合会(Singapore Maritime Officers’ Union,简称SMOU)和海联(Wavelink)海事学院举办的新春午宴,在致词时宣布这项消息。

他说:“我们有必要推动以及进一步发展新加坡核心部分,以备业界未来开始好转。”

在拨款计划下,本地海事公司每聘请一名学员就可获得5000元的津贴,可用于资助学员在培训泊位(training berths)和船上接受相关的实践培训。

王乙康指出,将有大约240名来自劳资政航海培训奖计划(Tripartite Nautical Training Award)和劳资政航海机械培训奖计划的学员从中获益。
