On 24 May 2019, SMOU brought 8 residents from NTUC Health Nursing Home for a day trip onboard the Genting Dream Cruise ship. It was the first time these seniors had an opportunity to go onboard a cruise ship and they were bubbling with excitement. Led by the friendly staff from Genting Cruise Lines, the Young SMOU volunteers brought the seniors on a tour of the cruise ship's amenities such as the Zodiac Threatre, the Palm Court & the Palace Suite.

After the tour, the seniors enjoyed a high tea session at the Tributes, and were treated to an entertaining performance by the cruise entertainment team. To top it all, the seniors received a limited edition souvenir, courtesy of Genting Cruise Lines, as well as a framed photograph from SMOU as a memento of the event.
