Cadets from the fifth intake of the Tripartite Nautical Training Award (TNTA) and the sixth intake were awarded their pre sea graduation certificates and their epaulets respectively. 

Mdm Halimah Yacob, Speaker of Singapore Parliament, Member of Parliament for Jurong GRC, presented the certificates and epaulets to deserving cadets. Speaking from the newly renovated Devan Nair Institute, Mdm Halimah hopes that many more young people will enter the maritime industry. 

The standard of cohort is increasing with new cadets that hold certifications in Nitec, Higher Nitec and Diploma.
